Jurong Lake 13Dec19

From KH

I went Jurong Lake to look-see, and saw a couple of Asian Openbills. Although not the huge flocks of hundreds, still nice to have them.

They seemed comfortable mixing with the Grey Herons. Here's one with stick in mouth.

No price for guessing where it brought the stick to. Heron BTO, in front of Jurong East BTO of course!

This one has a long strand of water plant in mouth. For baiting?

These herons were just having spa together.

Other waterbirds here include this Little Egret and this Yellow Bittern.

Mr and Mrs Brown-throated Sunbird were busy feeding, ignoring me.

A Yellow-vented Bulbul also literally ignored me.

Finally, a small group of Smooth Otters showed before the rain came pouring.
