Singapore Strait, Jurong Lake 19Feb11
From JSToday isn't really the worst of the birdwatching trips so far but it is quite close to that. The sky was cloudy but at least I could see the blue behind the clouds. Today was simply a no-show. Seabirds no show. Crested Goshawk no show. Even the promised heavy rain didn't show up; it stopped when we departed.
Nevertheless, I had at least some consolation from my photos. Here are some of the common birds seen.
No confusion which is the yellow-billed Great Crested Tern, which is orange-billed Lesser Crested Tern.
There was also a Great-billed Heron on Pulau Jong, but we didn't take any photos.
A friendly Lineated Barbet at Jurong Lake.
