Changi, Pasir Ris Farmway 20Nov10

We managed to get into Changi not from LP149, but from the canal beside Tanah Merah Coast Rd. The star birds today were 2 Jerdon's Bazas spotted by Danny. The birds were very far away, only Danny could scope them.

Here's the list of raptors:

1) Jerdon's Baza 2
2) Black Baza >5 (including 2 wintering and 4 thermalling in a kettle)
3) Common Buzzard 2 (1 smart bird hiding under airport tower platform during rain, 1 in Changi)
4) Japanese Sparrowhawk >3
5) Changeable Hawk Eagle 2 (1 friendly pale juv, 1 dark)
6) Black-winged Kite >3
7) WBSE >2
8) Brahminy Kite >2 (including 1 carrying twig)

Other notables are
1) Ashy Minivet 27 in a flock
2) Black-capped KF 1

After lunch, I dropped by Pasir Ris Farmway 1. I managed to spot a few raptors:

1) Chinese Sparrowhawk 1 female perched
2) Black Baza 1 perched
3) Changeable Hawk Eagle 1 perched and a possible old CHE nest
4) Brahminy Kite 1 adult

2) Common KF 1
3) Pond Heron 3

Lastly, I spotted a Black Baza flying low across TPE from Tampines side to Halus side.
