Rower's Bay, Seletar Dam 27Sep20

Decided to go Seletar Dam for wader watching. But, first up, at Rower's Bay, a couple of juvenile Yellow-vented Bulbuls were begging for food.


And here's a female Blue Sprite resting on Pink Kopsia Kopsia fruticosa.

At the dam, there wasn't much, so I entertained myself with the plants and insects. There're Purple Cleome Cleome rutidosperma (left) and Ivy Gourd Coccinia grandis (right).

A well-camouflaged Pygmy Grass Blue.

Back at Rower's Bay, I got a male Common Bluetail. Notice it looks similar to the male Blue Sprite, but the amount of blue on the thorax and abdomen are much less.

House Crow with nesting material.


And friendly introduced Masked Lapwing.
