Punggol, Serangoon Tidal Gates 15Jun18

Danny and I started the day's birding at Punggol End as Horsfield's Bronze-cuckoos were seen here recently. No luck.

  1. 30 Rock Pigeon (Feral Pigeon)
  2. 2 Spotted Dove
  3. 1 Plaintive Cuckoo
  4. 4 dark swiftlet sp.
  5. 1 Collared Kingfisher
  6. 1 Blue-throated Bee-eater
  7. 1 Coppersmith Barbet - Heard
  8. 2 Common Iora
  9. 1 Black-naped Oriole
  10. 2 Malaysian Pied-Fantail
  11. 2 House Crow
  12. 4 Pacific Swallow
  13. 2 Yellow-vented Bulbul
  14. 1 Common Tailorbird
  15. 2 Ashy Tailorbird
  16. 20 Javan Myna
  17. 1 Olive-backed Sunbird
  18. 5 Eurasian Tree Sparrow

No luck at Serangoon Tidal Gates either. But a Scaly-breasted Munia was carrying nesting material to make its nest.


The Little Terns were still in breeding plumage.


Here's a confiding Long-tailed Shrike.
