Bidadari 17Dec17

From KH

I spent the late morning at what remains of the good old Bidadari and got a few nice migrants as below.

A Grey Nightjar was initially facing right. I went one round and it was facing left!

An adult Tiger Shrike was having lunch: a grub of sort.

A Mugimaki Flycatcher wasn't very cooperative, always staying high.

There were also 2 Asian Brown Flycatchers...

and an Arctic Warbler around.

The only migrant raptors seen were a juvenile rufous Oriental Honey-buzzard that came too close (left) and a Black Baza that was at a more reasonable distance.

The resident raptors seen were a pale Changeable Hawk-eagle (left) and a Brahminy Kite.

The resident female Common Flameback came out to show why her species is so called.
