Pulau Ubin 17Apr21
From KH
Con, Danny and I went to Pulau Ubin. Low tide was at 8am, so we took a van straight to Chek Jawa, and we were lucky to witness the following drama.
Grey Heron caught a prey.
White-bellied Sea-Eagle came in to kleptoparasitise.
WBSE made off with stolen prey.
After CJ, we walked back to the jetty. Not many birds along the way, but we saw these insects:
Javanese Grasshoppers - adult and nymph.
Leaf-footed bug Mictis longicornis mating.
JS went to Kusu Island, but reported nothing much there, except for a repeated sighting of a sea turtle. Cool!
