Pasir Ris Park 16Mar18

From KH

A flock of about 8 Oriental Pied-hornbills were making lots of noise and busy feeding.

A Blue-throated Bee-eater caught a dragonfly.

A few Blue-tailed Bee-eaters were still around. This is the time of the year to see both species of bee-eaters here.

A male Common Kingfisher stroked a pose.

An Asian Brown Flycatcher also posed for some shots.

There were also some Ashy Minivets.

Then an incredible drama unfolded. A Grey Heron caught a Collared Kingfisher by the head. The kingfisher was squealing and struggling until it managed to break free finally!

The Little Egrets were more peaceful.

Greenback Mullets abound in the river.
